Can I be a pin-up girl even if I don't have a small dress size?
Of course you can. You or any gal can really be a pin-up gal even if you are curvy and have a larger dress size as there are many poses that can show you off with a classy and sexy look! Remember that Marilyn Monroe was a size 12/14. If you are a curvy gal then a pin-up shoot is for you!
Do we stock props and outfits?
Yes and no as there are a handful of props but if you have an idea on a theme for a shoot along with props we can discuss it at our meeting prior to the shoot. Stocking enough outfits with enough variety to fit everyone perfectly just isn't possible. Shopping for a pin-up outfit or two is part of the fun and excitement of this whole experience. So may I suggest that you bring more outfits than you think you will need for the pin-up shoot.
Can you recreate the classic pin-up look?
Yes, I can. However, classic pin up images require planning with wardrobe, hair and makeup but we will discuss what's required during our first complimentary consultation.
Do you offer any other types of photography sessions beside pin-up?
Yes, I am available for both private and commercial commissioned photo shoots in boudoir, vintage pin-up, glamour and swim wear photography. If you have a request for something specific please contact me.
I am shy about posing so do you think that I can still be a pinup gal?
Many of my clients are not models and are not experienced in posing for pin-up photography. This is where your session at the studio is an amazing, fun and unique experience. You will be coached through a number of poses and facial expression to a point where you will cry from laughing so much - everyone that has been involved in a pin-up session with me has enjoyed the experience and I know you will enjoy it too!
Why do gals pose as pinups?
Many of the gals give their pin up photos to their loved ones as birthday gifts, anniversary gifts, on special occasions or loved ones in the military who are about to be deployed overseas. But you may find that a unique pin up photograph of you is a special gift to you where you have that confident and sexy look of the woman you really are.
I am a middle-aged woman so can I pose as a pinup gal?
Definitely! Pinups are for woman of all ages and sizes as theses images are about the everyday gal, stepping out! Clients have ranged in age from 18 to a gal in her late 50's.
What about a 40's styled black and white photograph depicting a Hollywood glamour portrait?
Definitely! Dramatic lighting as in many of the vintage photos featuring Rita Hayworth, Veronica Lake, Marilyn Monroe, Greta Garbo and many other Hollywood starlets.
What should I wear?
Treat yourself to something new such as lingerie that you feel is sensual and sexy as this will make you feel and look great! Or maybe it’s a new pin-up outfit or a beautiful camisole that he hasn't seen before. Whatever you choose, please make sure you feel good wearing it! Bring several different changes to the session to get a variety of looks. I can also provide you with ideas and also where to find different pin-up outfits or pieces of lingerie before your session, based on your style.
